Our Story

While wearing a sleeping bag on the sofa in the winter of 2021, I attempted to hop to the fridge and injured myself in the process. This little mishap put me out of work for a month and forced me to the confines of my home.

At the same time energy prices were skyrocketing and I was searching the internet for a warm and practical item that would cover my whole body and help keep the power bills down.

Yes, there were super expensive blankets and giant hoodies available, but they weren't practical and didn't offer the head-to-toe comfort I needed. It was at this point that I decided to create my own.

This is How the Cosy Was Born!

I purchased some wearable blankets online and set about improving them. I sifted through people’s problems with oversized hoodies and blankets and focused on solving them.

Using an old sewing machine, I extended the
upper half of the blanket for an oversized fit and although this made it super comfy, it still wasn’t practical.

This is where the idea of legs came from. Through the help of tall and short family members, we were able to design the most convenient leg length for all shapes and sizes.

This is how The Cosy was born - a walking, wearable blanket that provides the comfort, convenience and practicality that others don’t.

It's been tried and tested for 360° of warmth, which has definitely helped to bring down those power bills. 

Our goal is for The Cosy to be the most comfortable item on earth and we can't wait for you to experience it.
